Olympics and Steroids – Is There A Way Out

It is natural in this age and day that when a large number of world renowned athletes are brought with each other that using steroids can be in the highlight. Everyone likes pointing out that the athletes who buy steroids and use them are ‘cheating’ by doing this, but one may point out that is it actually cheating if every person is using them.
If steroid usage helps an athlete in improving his performance, then why should one expect them to forego using these substances, considering that the athletes are competitive by nature and are willing to do anything in order to win?
Experts think that these steroid related controversies will be continuing for the future Olympic Games also. It would not be surprising to see athletes having there medals & titles revoked after winning them in Olympic Games. What is your point of view? Should the usage of steroids be permitted in world level tournaments?
There is no doubt that if we don’t come up with a way of discovering all the performance enhancing substances, the steroid abuse problem will persist. One can also be sure that new techniques of increasing & enhancing performance would be found and will be brought into usage by the athletes in future. Athletes may be able to buy steroids which are not easily detected and use them.
